The LesionQuant module of NeuroQuant can assist physicians in their clinical evaluation process, clinical treatment planning and monitoring of disease progression by combining T2 FLAIR with 3D T1 scans for quantitative lesion analysis. It automatically visualizes lesions and lesion volume changes and provides longitudinal changes brain structure volumes.

Machine: LesionQuant: MRI | Brain | 3D volumetrics – T1 and T2 FLAIR

NeuroQuant is intended for automatic labeling, visualization and volumetric quantification of segmentable brain structures and lesions from a set of MR images. Volumetric measurements may be compared to reference percentile data.

NeuroQuant is used by neurologists, radiologists and neuroradiologists in the post-acquisition quantitative analysis of MRI brain scans. This is a prescription (Rx Only) device not intended to be used by patients or other untrained individuals. Output of the software includes volumes information and images that have been annotated with color overlays, with each color representing a specific segmented structure.

NeuroQuant executes a proprietary automated workflow that performs image filtering, artifact correction, segmentation, and report generation. From a workflow perspective, it is packaged as a computing appliance that is DICOM compliant using the DICOM format for input and output data.

LesionQuant is a module of NeuroQuant that enhances NeuroQuant capabilities by using a T2 FLAIR scan to supplement the 3D T1 scan. Incorporation of T2 FLAIR data allows for improved identification of brain lesions, which are associated with T2 FLAIR hyperintensities.
